Synopsis

This painting is entirely dedicated to the Stars; it shows in the faces of the personages the impulse working in people, making them look up towards the starry Heavens. In ancient times it was very customary to predict not only the future, but also the weather and many other things by way of the stars. On the painting I depicted the constellation of Andromeda, named after the Greek myth of Perseus who rescued the princess Andromeda from a sea monster. This constellation is very special, because it also contains the galaxy Andromeda - the nearest galaxy to our Milky Way. I believe that in the future people will know much more about the Stars - not only their positions etc. in space, as now, but many secrets hidden from the ordinary gaze.
